New York City Internships
Sustainable Directions – New York City Area
In New York, Triskeles works primarily in partnership with Urban Assembly (UA) , a non-profit organization which supervises about 20 schools. Together, Urban Assembly and Triskeles staff screen and select eligible students. Other school partner relationships continue to be developed.
Our partnership offers sustainable directions internships to Urban Assembly (and other) students in a broad variety of innovative organizations that are committed to sustainability and social entrepreneurship. We work with students to determine areas of interest, location, and availability and match them with exciting opportunities. Pre-internship orientation and weekly skill training for all interns are a part of the experience. Stipends are paid to most interns to cover their expenses and as incentives for participation.
A great variety of mentor organizations, the Shinnyo-en Foundation, The Winifred Clive Johnson Foundation, and Trinity Wall Street Church have all lent their support to make this a successful and growing program.
